Apartments Pelješac Orebič, Kučište-Perna: The apartments are located on the southern Dalmatian coast on the Peljesac peninsula which is located directly opposite the island of Korcula. Orebic, the closest town with a health center, pharmacy, post office, banks, shops, etc.., is 2.5 km away. Transport to the island of korcula is available by ferry or small passanger boats.

The apartments are only 80m away from the sea, restaurants are 100 meters away, shops 400m, transport to the island of Korcula (twice daily) is located only 300m away. A paradise for windsurfers at the Peljesac Channel, 350 m to surfing club, where it is possible to store or borrow equipment. Windsurfing and scuba diving lessons are readily available. An exceleent starting point for cycling, walks by the sea, hiking the St.Ilija mountain, visits of Dubrovnik, Mljet, Medjugorje…
The owner is located in the house, communication is possible in Slovenian, Italian and English. The apartments are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, internet, parking, barbecue.

The beaches and the surrounding vistas

Perna Beach

Perna Beach The village of Perna on the Peljesac Peninsula meanders up from Orebic towards the last 3 villages of Kuciste, Viganj and Loviste. Its small beaches scallop along the coast and look directly across to impressive Korcula Old Town.

Trstenica beach

Trstenica beach is sandy and pebble beach that is approximately 1 km long, located on the eastern side of Orebic just before Mokalo and Dingac. It is easily reached by foot, a pleasant 10-15 min walk from Orebic main pier where all ferries and boats from/ to Orebic and Korcula are located.
Located not far away is a camping and water sports center. Its sandy seabed makes Trstenica beach very popular with the younger visitors. Young children and non-swimmers can safely bathe here. Even though there is a pine forest lining the beach and providing many large areas with shade, especially in the western section it is still recommended to to take the local parasol and lounge chair rental service in the east into consideration. Showers and changing rooms are available as are various dining options. In Trstenica you can rent, inter alia, pedal boats, boats and jet skis, try your hand at banana boating, water-skiing or wake-boarding, play beach volleyball or have fun in the floating water park.
Frommer’s Guide to Croatia, the newly published guide book for USA market, have listed Trstenica Beach in Orebic as one of the best Croatian beaches.

Viganj Beach

Viganj Beach – For this pebble beach on the peninsula, Viganj’s main beach is well known for it’s windsurfing – conditions are perfect from around lunchtime every day as the maestral breeze picks up – perfect if you are a wind surfer or kitesurfer. Hire equipment on the beach and take a lesson or 2 from the windsurf school. Don’t worry if you aren’t up for being so active and are more of a beach type – the maestral breeze is lovely for cooling you down in the heat if you are sunbathing.

PELJESAC

Peljesac is a peninsula in southern Croatia, in the Dubrovnik -Neretva county, just about an hour and a half drive from Dubrovnik. It is around 70 km long and is connected with Croatian Mainland at Ston. The Peljesac Channel divides the peninsula from the island of Korcula. Scattered like breadcrumbs across the foothills of the dolomites, the hamlets and villages of southern Peljesac evoke an ancient past. The rocks, the vegetation, the groves of pine and cypress – everywhere a sense of timelessness prevails. On the hills above the sea, abandoned villas and gardens, stone walls and columns lie crumbling in the sun. Lemon, fig and almond trees, herbs and wildflowers surround the villages gardens and fields. The historical sea captains’ town of Orebic – with its shops, market, cafes and restaurants is on the bottom of the Sveti Ilija Mountain. A footpath into the mountains to the summit of Sveti Ilija begins near Viganj too – Croatia’s windsurfing capital. There, seaside restaurants and pebbly beaches attract a lively crowd in summer months. The island of Korcula and Mljet are is just across the channel.
