Induction melting, continuous casting dental alloys, induction surface hardening, induction heating

INEL INDUCTION d.o.o. is designing, planning and manufacturing with very competitive prices static middle frequency converters with modern semiconductor technologies (thyristors and IGBT transistors) with power of 10 kW to 2.000 kW and working frequencies of 50 Hz up to 100 kHz.

It performs reconstructions, modernization and servicing of middle and high frequency converters and heating devices of other makes.

Inductive equipment in combination with automated machines and manipulators is manufactured for you with innovative solutions and over thirty years of experience according to customer’s specifications.

Services

Applications of converters as energy source on following areas:

  • Induction metal melting
  • Metal forging and yielding with induction heating
  • Induction surface hardening and tempering
  • Induction soldering, brazing and welding
  • Ultrasonic welding and cleaning of thermoplastic materials and metals
  • Closing packaging

Advantages of induction heating

  • Heat is produced by induced current directly in the workpiece and is not transferred from the outside
  • Completely even temperature distribution over the entire length of piece of gap and depth
  • Controlled temperature by continuous clock rate and achievement can be always held minimum value
  • Small scale formation by very short warming up time in only two clocks is five times smaller than during gas heating up
  • No machine preheating time and immediate stopping of the warming up process compared with reverberatory furnaces
  • Small abrasive wear and less change of the dies because of reduced scale formation
  • Small space requirement by compact execution of the plant
  • Absolutely improved working conditions for the personnel
  • Automatic loading and unloading of inductors
  • Only to three different double inductors necessarily for the cover of all forms of piece of gap
  • With forging disturbances only two hot pieces of gap are in the inductor, which are again usable after the cooling
  • Large abrasive resistance and fast change of the ceramics pipe in the inductor
  • By setting up the plant over the drop hammer pieces of gap slip directly to the smith
  • High actual working time of the plant
  • Pollution free procedure

Induction heating for forging and yielding of metals

Usage

Medium frequency converters with power ranges 20 kW and 1.000 kW and working frequencies between 250 Hz and 50.000 Hz are used with heaters to heat round or square profiles and pipes made of steel or nonferrous metals (copper, brass, aluminium) and measuring from 1 to 150 mm in diameter – to a temperature of 1.250 °C before remodelling (forging, bending). Heating systems are customized to fit customer’s needs. They occupy very little space. Examples of use: screws with a special head design (M10-M100), nuts, bolts, tools, spanners, wrenches, links, sheet punching tools, ejectors, continuous curving of pipe sections (1/2″-12″, radius from 2,5D upward).

Advantages

  • direct heating within the material with eddy currents (skin effect)
  • medium frequency heating reaches several millimetres of depth
  • improved product quality due to low level of surface combustion (up to 0,06 mm, up to 0,3 mm with gas)
  • no grain formation within the structure and no carbon losses on the surface of the processed item (heating from 5 to 50 sec)
  • unvarying temperature of up to 0,1 %
  • imcreased durability of forging tools
  • power consumption for steel from 0,35 to 0,5 kWh/kg at up to 1.250 °C
  • no demands for workers (heat, noise)
  • environment friendly technology
  • increased productivity

Technical specifications

  • MF output: 135 kW/1,5 kHz to 4,5 kHz
  • Cooling: air and water
  • Dimensions: 1.200×600×2.100 mm

Heating system

Induction surface hardening

Usage

Medium frequency converters are used with heating systems for surface hardening of steel products and tools.
Based on your requirements, we make converters with induction hardening equipment with power outputs ranging from 50 kW to 800 kW and output frequencies from 50 Hz to 100 kHz.
Hardening is possible whether the treated unit or the inductor is in standstill or in motion.

Advantages

  • short heating times
  • medium frequency (MF) enables depth heating from 1 mm to 50 mm
  • direct heating at hardening depth
  • unvarying results (constant energy)
  • automation of hardening process
  • cost reducing use of cheaper materials for the same hardness

Induction (inductive) soldering and brazing

Usage

Medium frequency converters with power ranges between 10 kW and 50 kW and working frequencies between 1.000 Hz and 100 kHz are used with heating systems, are used in electronic and machanical engineering and also in the manufacturing of tools.
They are distinguished by extremely small dimensions, good energy efficiency and low power input.
Siver, brass or copper solders are used to join together metal parts (steel, brass, copper, and silver) at a temperature of up to 1.100 °C.
The procedure enables soldering and brazing of metals (Fe, Cu, Au, Ag, and brass), artificial and sintered diamonds and carbide plates onto working tools.
We also perform soldering services on our units.

Advantages

  • short heating times
  • direct heating at the point of soldering
  • medium frequency (MF) enables depth heating
  • no solder overheating
  • unvarying results
  • possibility of automation
  • soldering in a protective atmosphere
  • improved working conditions (light, heat, noise)
  • environment friendly technology
  • reduced dimensions and weight of the unit
  • reduced energy and cooling water consumption
